Frequently asked questions
Can we bring treats for the horses?
If you decide to bring treats for the horses, they love carrots, apples, peppermints/sugar cubes/peaches and licorice.
Is there an age limit?
Age limit is 2 and up. We typically lead 2-5 yo kids, and tend to stay in the small round pen or riding arena. Usually 35.00/30 minutes. If they last longer it is regular rate of 65.00/hr/age 2-5yo. We do not allow any double riding unless you own your horse.
Is there a weight limit?
No. We provide step stools to help you get on.
Who has to pay?
All lesson and regular rate riders are allowed 1 visitor no charge. All other non-riders will be required to pay the petting zoo/facility fee of 15.00.
What should we wear?
Please wear LONG PANTS AND FULLY ENCLOSED SHOES OR BOOTS. Men/Boys do not wear boxer shorts. You'll thank us later!
Do you have trail rides?
There are no trails, we teach an overview for each rider in a small pen and then let you ride in a huge ring. Then you can
go to 7 acres to ride free range. We teach everyone how to stop, go and turn in a small pen riders/mandatory. We supply helmets to all ages, or you can bring a helmet. Under 17 must wear helmets.
Do you have concessions?
We do not supply food, water or drinks. Bring it, IT GETS HOT! There is a small picnic area if you so choose. You may bring your own food. Just don't feed the animals. :) NO gum chewing for the safety of all people and small animals.
Why do you have wild animals running around?
All loose animals here are friendly. If you are afraid of horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens,
rabbits, pigs, hedgehogs, goats, peacocks, and horse trainers, or other animals, we might not be the place for you. We do
not tie up or cage animals here ever. Some are rescues and live their last days here peacefully like real animals should.
Do you offer discounts?
15% Discounted if you purchase at your first visit.
Do you offer refunds?
If you are late Friday through Sunday, we cancel the ride and you will pay or be charged. Please be courteous. We do not offer refunds unless in the case of bad weather. We will cancel rides the night before or in the morning. You can always use any credits towards rides or lessons in the future.
